    As part of the IPPWS, a new training “Helping women win” will be held tomorrow and Tuesday at the FAO Conference Room, in Matautu-Uta, Apia. The facilitator of the sessions will be the Elizabeth Weir and all women candidates are welcome to join.

  • Youth creating awareness on the Sustainable Development Goals in Tokelau

    The Tokelau Youth Group is a network of 60 young people from the three atolls, supported by their respective local governments called “Taupulega”. The group was established in the late 1990's but, due to to funding constraints, they only managed to revive itself in September 2015 during the South-South Sub Regional Youth Initiative on Climate Change Meeting.

  • Youth get ready for employment in the cultural industries

    Eleven female and nine male learned the traditional skills of siapo production, mat weaving, wood carving and canoe making. The skills training course was implemented as part of the Government of Samoa and One-UN Youth Employment Programme, with financial support being provided by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
